Secularism Is the Enemy

There were six people stranded on a desert island: a Christian, a Jew, an atheist, a Muslim, a Hindu, and a Buddhist.

The atheist said to the other five, “It wouldn’t be fair to organize ourselves according to any of your worldviews because each of you has a different conception of God; therefore, let’s agree to be secular in our interactions with each other and then each of us can hold whatever beliefs he wants in private.”

The five that were religious – since none of them wanted to live under the worldview of any of the others – thought this suggestion sounded fair and therefore went along with it…until the day that they realized that what they had essentially agreed to was to conform all their interactions to the atheist’s worldview.
