Throw Out the Organized Church and Embrace God

Church in our day is a hindrance to the true worship of God.  Therefore, forget about church.  Instead, embrace Christ by faith.

Faith is a conviction that God is.  If He is, then He is everywhere.  If He is everywhere, we don’t need to go somewhere to worship Him.  We need to worship Him where we are.  That means home, school, work, or wherever.

Just as you can’t truly worship Jesus if you objectify Him in a statue or crucifix, so you cannot worship Him if you objectify Him in a group of human beings.  God is spirit and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.

Throw out the physical object of worship called the church – which is simply an idol – and worship the true God in spirit and in truth.  That means trusting that wherever you go and whatever you do, He and the heavenly host of myriad angels is before you.

When you do this, you’ll be the church.

Bible notes on this post.

The purpose of this blog is to proclaim Jesus Christ to those who want to hear about Him without having to join a church – or anything or anyone else – but Him.
