One Reply to “Essay: The Promise of Heaven Frees Us”

  1. I think that all of God’s promises, particularly the promise of Heaven, may set us free since God is the “promise keeper” Himself. 😉

He who is faithful loves forever unconditionally. All of those promises we couldn’t keep somewhere along the way – He can. Only He can keep the candles burning in our heart and soul. We’re standing strong forever if Jesus builds the house (Ps 127:1, 1 Cor 3:9-11, Eph 2:21-22).

As for me, I know I can keep a promise which is consistent with God’s will because of the Holy Spirit’s power, “for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.” (Phil 2:13) Anything else I’d promise would make me out to be a liar, that means, if it was not God’s Spirit who caused me to make that certain promise, I would surely fail to keep it.

To be yourself is all that you can do… indeed, we are the same, behind the game of ‘me and you’.

Apropos Heaven on earth now, which is possible in Christ’s Spirit alone:

“Do we want to feel His presence blissfully – knowing we are His property?
And getting so addicted to the loving He is feeding, that without His love we would find us bleeding?”

“Don’t need no words to know the One who loves to satisfy full-on!”
