Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep

You may know this prayer:

Now I lay me down to sleep,

I pray the Lord my soul to keep,

If I shall die before I wake,

I pray the Lord my soul to take.

Everyone is going to heaven, so I’m not suggesting that this prayer is entirely appropriate.  However, there is something appropriate about committing ourselves into the Lord’s hands when we enter situations where we are vulnerable.

Do you trust the Lord when you are not in control?

Do you think you are in control more often than you really are?

Bible notes on this post.

The purpose of this blog is to proclaim Jesus Christ to those who want to hear about Him without having to join a church – or anything else – but Him.
