Repentance to Righteousness – Part 1 of 3

Through His life as Jesus of Nazareth, God is calling us to repentance.  And that repentance should be to righteousness – the righteousness we see in Jesus’ life.

To live for God means to have access to forgiveness for our sins.  It does not mean we are forgiven so that we can go on living the way we used to live.  So many people profess a faith in Christ that they think exempts them from having to suffer the consequences of their sins.  However, God did not forgive us so that we could continue sinning.  He forgives us so that we can repent and act more like Him.

Therefore, do not take His kindness lightly.  Let it lead you to be sorry for your sins, and to change your ways…and take up the selfless ways that marked Jesus’ life.

Bible notes on this post.

The purpose of this blog is to proclaim Jesus Christ to those who want to hear about Him without having to join a church – or anything else – but Him.
