Who Wants To Be Loved, Respected, Understood, or Appreciated? Part 3 of 3

When you look to God for love, respect, understanding, and appreciation, you will find it.  He wants to gives these things to us.  We cannot find them, however, looking in other directions.  We will certainly only find them on a limited and sporadic basis when we look for them from the people around us.

Some people spend their lifetimes trying to find these things in other people – producing unpleasantness for others and disappointment in their own souls.

To walk with God is to do His will for His pleasure.  When others mistreat you, it’s only an opportunity for you to please God by returning good to the evildoer – just as Jesus did.

The person who lives this way is happy in heart.  No human being can cause that joy to evaporate because God is an eternal source.  If we continue to obey, He will continue to bless our souls with joy.

If you want to be happy, love God and forgive people.

Be kind and do good, expecting nothing in return from people…and God will reward you immeasurably…with love, respect, understanding, and appreciation.

Bible notes on this post.

The purpose of this blog is to proclaim Jesus Christ to those who want to hear about Him without having to join a church – or anything else – but Him.

One Response to Who Wants To Be Loved, Respected, Understood, or Appreciated? Part 3 of 3

  1. Susanne Schuberth (Germany) says:

I guess that the reason for being happy while walking with God in the spirit lies in the fact that Jesus has clearly shown God’s Love for all human beings on the cross, having died for all our sins/failures past, present and future by His own free human will.

For me, this is as if He would have said, “My Love for you is unconditionally, and my Love will be an Everlasting Love“. Of course, since we are not able to look ahead into eternity…this will be an Everlasting Love. I know that this is a love of Hope to say ‘Love is forever’. Nevertheless, hope gives a foretaste of things to come, so that we can sustain each other by saying, “Don’t worry, be happy!”
