Who Wants To Be Loved, Respected, Understood, or Appreciated? Part 2 of 3

Much of what is wrong with our society today stems from people who want to be loved or respected or understood or appreciated by other human beings. People will disappoint you; God will not.  It’s that simple.

Set your mind to love people, not entrust your soul to their decisions. Rather, entrust the well-being of your soul only to God. He already loves and understands you. Give Him reason to respect and appreciate you.

This means seeking the well-being of others – not their approval.  Only when you stop and think about this do you realize what a difference there can be between the two.

Spend some time thinking about how little you have sought God’s approval of your thoughts and actions.  And then repent.

Bible notes on this post.

The purpose of this blog is to proclaim Jesus Christ to those who want to hear about Him without having to join a church – or anything else – but Him.

  1. A non church goers guide?? Really? Just curious why a non-goer? You have much to offer the body of Christ and in humility they have much to offer you. Perfect congregations don’t exist because perfect people don’t exist. I hope you will share yourself as God directs us to do and let them share with you.
