Jesus is “the stone which was rejected by the chief builders, ” to quote the psalmist.
We know Jesus is the Cornerstone, but we do well to remember that He is also the stone which was rejected.
To some, Jesus is the cornerstone; to others, He is the stone that they reject. Which is He to you?
And if He is your cornerstone, are you willing to be rejected with Him? For certainly since He was rejected, anyone who sides with Him will be rejected as well.
Do not be afraid of rejection, however. First, it is better to be accepted by God than to be accepted by people. Second, all rejection is temporary because it coincides with this life. Rejection from humanity will end, but acceptance from God never ends. And humanity will eventually come around.
Side with the Rejected Stone…because He is the Cornerstone.
