The Lord of Lords

The Lord Jesus Christ is the Lord of all lords.  There is no higher authority or power.

Every authority derives from some higher authority.  Governments derive their authority from God.  Parents derive their authority from God.  And so on.  In every realm of human activity, we find authority – and all of it derives from God.

Therefore, whenever we honor authority we are honoring God.

What about when a human authority does wrong?  God takes note, and He is a fair and objective Judge.  Therefore, we don’t have to be judges.  We just have to do what is right.  If human authority commands us to do something contrary to the will of God then we do the will of God and trust God for the outcome.

Do not think that any human activity is too trivial for God to monitor.  He numbers even the hairs on our heads.

Honor authority as an extension of God.  He is the Lord of all lords.

Call on His Name:  The Lord of Lords

Bible notes on this post.

The purpose of this blog is to proclaim Jesus Christ to those who want to hear about Him without having to join a church – or anything else – but Him.
