The Light

Jesus is the light.  His life reveals the way God would have us live.  That is, in generous giving of ourselves to those around us.

Jesus gave from His means…and beyond His means.  It was when He gave beyond His means that the miracles of God were manifested.  When Jesus gave all He had, God added more.

People generally shrink from this kind of light the way bugs shrink from a flashlight in the middle of the night.

If we come to the light of Jesus, however, He will not crush us.  He will forgive us.  And He will then teach us how to live by love as He did.

Jesus doesn’t forgive us so that we can keep living the way we used to.  He forgives us so that we can walk in the light with Him.

Resistance to the light of Jesus brings darkness.  Go to the light.  It will have a cleansing effect.  He will have a cleansing effect.

Call on His Name:  The Light.

Bible notes on this post.

The purpose of this blog is to proclaim Jesus Christ to those who want to hear about Him without having to join a church – or anything else – but Him.

  1. ‘Jesus is the light.’

Yes, Mike. And there is no other! 😉

When everything leaves me empty still, I need the One who stays to turn me toward the light (Jn 8:12). The night won’t set my spirit free, but Jesus will (Jn 8:36). Only He has the power to cut through the eternal darkness of our hearts.

Though I’m trying hard to control my heart, at least there’s a light to guide me when I feel He is beside me…

    Off-topic question:
It is now three days or so since I have not been able to locate the “Recent Comments” section on your “Current Events in Light of the Kingdom of God” blog any more. Could you imagine why?

  2. Your information has reached me and now I understand everything about it. 😉 Or in other words, I see it “walking through your sites” 🙂

    Thank you!
