The Prophet

Moses wrote that God would “raise up a prophet like me from among” the Israelites.  While this promise saw partial fulfillment every time a new prophet spoke to Israel, it received its ultimate fulfillment when Jesus Christ was raised from the dead.  Other prophets were figuratively “raised up,” Jesus was literally “raised up”; other prophets were raised for a time, Jesus was raised for eternity.

Jesus is the one who speaks for God.  This is because He IS God, though this truth was not fully revealed in biblical times.  Nevertheless, it is the truth to which all the Bible points.

Listen to the Prophet.  And give heed to everything He says.

If He tells you to repent, repent!  (He will surely tell you to repent.)

The Prophet lives!  Let’s heed Him in our consciences, for that is where He speaks.

The purpose of this blog is to proclaim Jesus Christ to those who want to hear about Him without having to join a church – or anything else – but Him.
