The Shepherd and Guardian of Our Souls

The apostle Peter called Jesus “the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls.”

The soul is where life is experienced.  It is the seat of thoughts and emotions.  Jesus cares for our souls.  What does it profit us if we gain the whole world and lose our souls?

Serve Jesus as Lord in all your thoughts, and your emotions will comfort rather than distress you.

Jesus is the Shepherd.  And the Guardian.  Let your soul benefit.

The purpose of this blog is to proclaim Jesus Christ to those who want to hear about Him without having to join a church – or anything else – but Him.

  1. Yep! Jesus truly cares for our souls, more than any other human being could do it. He indeed is the Good Shepherd.

There are days when my thoughts are comparable with a bunch of wild monkeys leaping headless from branch to branch of a dying tree (sometimes I can almost hear the tree creak 😉 ). And then my emotions usually follow my thoughts in respect of their content (positive or negative), that is, good idea – good feeling, sorrow – bad feeling etc.

But at the end of the day, His Comfort is everything I need when I’ve been down in the dumps! He won’t leave us lonely…We can trust Him to mend our broken plans…We can throw our problems on Him…He would do anything to foster His sheep.
