Mighty God

The prophet Isaiah said that the name of Messiah, among others, would be among others, “Mighty God.”

This great light did not dawn on us quickly.  We first had to accept that He was the Messiah – the long- and often-promised one of Israel.

Then we had to see Him raised from the dead, installed at the right hand of Power.

If we trusted and obeyed Him, then we would come to see that He, in addition to being the Messiah and all that that role entails, was also the Mighty God.  That is, He Himself was God.  Then we realize that Isaiah had prophesied this elsewhere as well:  Immanuel was His name, too; it means “God with us.”

Today we know that Jesus Christ is in our midst because He is God Almighty and “in Him we live and move and have our being.”

Jesus Christ is the Mighty God!

The purpose of this blog is to proclaim Jesus Christ to those who want to hear about Him without having to join a church – or anything else – but Him.
