Yesterday’s post (The Leader) referenced Isaiah’s prophecy of a great leader to come in Israel. That same prophecy called the Messiah to come as “Commander.” This Messiah would be a leader and a commander for the peoples.
If a leader leads, then what does a commander do? Of course, he commands.
Did Jesus command? He certainly did. He said we must love. We must love Him above all, and our neighbors as ourselves.
Are you obeying that command right now?
At what times is it appropriate not to obey that command?
How many ways today will you obey Jesus’ command?
Don’t use His name in vain – if you are going to call Him “Commander,” then obey His commands.
Can it be any different to call Him “Commander” than it is to call Him “Lord.” Don’t both command? Aren’t both to be obeyed?
Call on the name of your Commander today. Heed His commands!

The purpose of this blog is to proclaim Jesus Christ to those who want to hear about Him without having to join a church – or anything else – but Him.
