Beneath the Raging River Flows a Gentle, Quiet Stream – Part 2

We cannot leave the raging river of worrisome and fearful thoughts to wade in the gentle streams of God’s encouragement unless we are willing to repent of our selfish ways.  Sin is a trap that keeps us enslaved to selfish pleasures.  The Lord Jesus laid down His life in love for us that we might change and live our lives out of love for Him and others.

You can only live your life one day at a time.  Are you living it today for Him…or for yourself?

If you stop doing things for yourself and truly do them for Him, you will feel an assurance and confidence bubble up from deep in your soul.  This is how He expresses His approval of you.  Listen for His affirmations – they will come!

Bible notes on this post.

The purpose of this blog is to proclaim Jesus Christ to those who want to hear about Him without having to join a church – or anything else – but Him.
