The book of Revelation promised that God would “wipe away every tear.” To what does this refer? It refers to the abolition of death, as in Everyone Is Going to Heaven. In fact, that passage from Revelation goes on to say “there shall no longer be any death.”
We certainly experience death in the same way as always here on earth – so what’s changed? What has changed is what happens to us after we die. Rather than descending to a place of death called Hades (or Sheol) for an indeterminate sleep-like state, we ascend immediately into heaven. Therefore, what has changed about death is invisible to the natural eye – but understood by the word of God.
“Crying may last for the night, but joy comes in the morning”…for everyone. With this assurance, pray to God each day so that you may know how you can please Him and hold your head up when you go to heaven. As you do please Him, His glory will shine in your soul and your hope for heaven will grow.
