Whom Does Jesus Save?

Whom does Jesus save?  Sinners.  Righteous persons need not apply.

Some of you may think that Jesus came to associate only with good people.  Next to Him, however, no one is good.  Therefore, if Jesus is going to associate with any people at all, it is going to have to be sinful people.

This doesn’t mean that He leaves them sinful, for He expects them to change under His leadership.  And change they do!  But they never lose sight of where they came from.  They never forget that apart from Jesus’ saving power, they would revert to the sinful thoughts, attitudes, and inclinations that they had always had.

This has nothing to do with churchgoing.  It has to do with living a life of repentance before Jesus who sees everything all the time.

Bible notes on this post.

The purpose of this blog is to praise Jesus Christ for those who want to hear about Him without having to join something.
