Your conscience is your moral strength. Like any muscle, the conscience is made stronger by nourishment and exercise.
For nourishment, meditate on our Lord Jesus Christ. He is risen from the dead after living a morally exemplary life. Think on His motivations. Think on His responses to temptation and provocation. He will heal your conscience and imbue it with His strength.
For exercise, make daily decisions based on conscience. Don’t explain your decisions to anyone but God, for when you seek the approval of people you weaken your conscience. Do what is right in His sight. And make that apply to everything you do in the course of a day. You’ll be surprised at how much you’ve been doing for yourself and not for Him or others. You’ll also be surprised at how much difference there is between seeking the approval of others and loving them.
Strengthen your conscience, for you need all the strength it can give you.
The purpose of this blog is to provide information about Jesus to those who want to hear about Him without having to join something.
