Keep Your Church, But Give Me Jesus

Do you know how to separate what is valuable from what is worthless?  Sure you do.  I assume, for example, that when you receive a package, you know how to distinguish its contents from the packing material.

Churches today operate in the name of Jesus.  Some of them even talk about Him.  Nevertheless, church activity is mostly packing material – stuff you can discard without a second thought.  Hold fast, however, to Jesus for He is the valuable present shipped to you.

To those who would have you join them in church, say, “Keep your church, but give me Jesus.” (That is, tell them you’re looking for a relationship with God, not with them.)

The purpose of this blog is to provide information about Jesus to those who want to hear about Him without having to join something.
