Jesus Is a Compelling Invitation to Sinners

Why did God choose to reveal Himself most fully through Jesus Christ?  In large part, because we are sinners.  The only way a righteous God can get unrighteous children to return home is to make sure the invitation is imbued with forgiveness.

Who wants to go home when you know that you are going to be punished?  No one.  God, however, advertises His willingness to forgive by enduring the public humiliation of death on a cross.  If God accepts this kind of treatment and keeps on loving anyway, then it must always be safe for us to go home.

Know this:  It is always safe for you to go home if you travel there with a humble and contrite spirit – that is, seeking forgiveness.  If you go to Him with pride in your heart, not seeing your need for forgiveness, you will be disappointed in the outcome.

The purpose of this blog is to provide information about Jesus to those who want to hear about Him without having to join something.
