In what way is your heart trained to think?
Many hearts are trained in greed. They are constantly seeking how to get more, and more, and more. They are never satisfied. Some hearts are trained in lust, which is akin to greed. They, too, are never satisfied.
Jesus trained His heart in righteousness. He always thought first about what His Father would want in any situation. That is the love He showed toward his Father – thinking first of the Father’s desires and not of His own.
Jesus is our great example. Therefore, we must train our hearts as He trained His. Such training takes time. It takes discipline as well. Measure yourself today against where you were yesterday. Are you more interested in pleasing God today than you were yesterday? If so, then you are training your heart in the right direction. If not, repent while there is still time. You don’t know what evil might befall you if you are disregarding God’s clear direction.
The purpose of this blog is to provide information about Jesus to those who want to hear about Him without having to join something.
