Like Father, Like Son

You bear the image of your Father.  Do you reflect it?  It could be that dirt, grime, and soot has covered with dullness the shine that your Father has given you.

Do you love your wife only when she shows you kindness?  Do you love your children only when they show you respect?  This is not your Father’s way.  He makes the sun to rise on the evil and the good.  He sends the rain upon the righteous and the unrighteous.

Do you take into account a wrong suffered?  This is not your Father’s way.  He lives reconciled to a fallen world, redeeming human beings one by one with His resilient love for them.

Don’t be content to live by the moral standards set by your brothers.  Rather, live by the standard set by your Father, Jesus Christ.  Repent of a moral code that is “enough to get by.”  Instead, become mature in righteousness as your Father in heaven is morally mature.

So live your life before your heavenly Father that He will one day look down upon you and say, “Like Father, like son.”

The purpose of this blog is to provide information about Jesus to those who want to hear about Him without having to join something.
