Do you know who you are?
If you’re like many people, you’ve been trying to piece together an identity for yourself for a long time. You’re the person who likes this and doesn’t like that. You’re the person from such-and-such place. You’re the person who’s a diehard fan of some particular restaurant, sports team, or something else. This kind of identity is like an outfit you wear – clothes that fit well, and in which you think you look good. While all these things may relate to your experiences in life, they are not who you are.
Who you are is going to go from this life into the next one. None of the others things mentioned above will be making the trip. At your core, then, do you know who you are? If you want an accurate answer to that question you are going to have to go to the One who created you.
The more time you spend alone with Jesus Christ, the more you will have a sense of who you are. In other words, if you want to know yourself, get to know God. God became Jesus Christ so that we could know Him better. You can’t know who you are until you know Him in whose image you were made.
Until you know who you are, rest in the assurance that He knows who you are.
The purpose of this blog is to provide information about Jesus to those who want to hear about Him without having to join something.
