The Wonder of Seed-Faith

That a seed, if planted in the ground, will grow from the ground into a plant is a most wonderful process.  That the plant will bear fruit makes it even more wonderful.  That the fruit itself bears more seed in the process makes it wonderful beyond measure.

Jesus is the seed of God.  Your heart is the soil.  If you will plant Him in your heart – that is, keep Him there day and night – a new life will spring forth from you.  He will reproduce Himself in you. And His life in yours will bear fruit.  And that fruit will contain more seeds of Jesus.

You can call this process seed-faith.  As Jesus is growing in you, faith in Him is actually growing in you.  Jesus said that if we have faith as a small seed, we can say unto a mountain, “Be removed and be cast into the sea.”  Perhaps the reason we don’t see more mountains being moved is that we are not planting the seed of Him.  Or we are not keeping it in the soil.  As long as the seed is outside of soil, it will not grow.

Your relationship with God was meant to grow.  Don’t be afraid to start with the smallest of seeds – the simple thought of Jesus.  Plant it – then watch the wonder!

It’s an utterly clear message, Mike.

Good to know you’ve nothing left to prove since He who’s perfect makes mountains move.
And if you wanna feel His unfathomable power, don’t question life just take His special real love shower. 😉

By revealing the secrets I keep inside my soul I can see the part He is touching to make me whole.
To put it briefly, it starts with a rest and a pause and a deep smile before my mind hits the floor in the race straight to heaven… 🙂

“I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth.” (1 Cor 3:6-7)
