Jesus loves us, this we know. But Jesus also hates. Not us, but He does hate.
What does Jesus hate? Well, for starters, He hates sin. He died on the cross to redeem mankind from it.
Here are a few examples of things God hates: He hates hypocrisy. He hates adultery. He hates anything that robs people of dignity, but He also hates human pride.
On the day that Jesus drove the money changers from the temple, he overturned their coins, their tables, and their chairs. It was a raucous scene which vividly demonstrated the intense hatred He had for things that misled people about God’s nature.
The Scriptures reveal many things that God hates, because He wants us to hate them, too.
The book of Ecclesiastes says that there is a time to love and a time to hate. Through Jesus Christ, God has revealed that it is always time to love people, and always time to hate the sin that separates them from their God.
Open your eyes to Jesus right now…and never close them. Hate even the idea of closing them!
