What You Don’t See Is What Matters

We live in a world that says what matters is what you can see.  However, nothing could be further from the truth!

Everything that you can see is going away.  Every circumstance you face is going to pass.  Every building you see is going to decay.  Every organization you see is going to fade.  Every body you see is going to die.

The spirit inside of the bodies you see – these will live on.  On what then should you be concentrating?

The original temptation in the Garden of Eden was that Eve focus on what she could see instead of what she could remember.  Don’t make that same mistake.

Every physical thing in this world is temporary.  It’s the invisible things that last.  Remember, and focus on them.  Especially on Jesus Christ, who holds them all together.  Turn to talk with Him now.  And listen.  Mainly listen.

  1. Beautifully written, Mike.

The ground of all that matters to me is to help others believe and see…them gladly spend the rest of their days worshipping God in heaven on earth with glorious joy [sorry, no rhyme here since I am rather uninspired currently 😉 ].
